This new Kenny Scharf mural appeared on the back side of a restaurant right next to my studio on Norfolk street and I think it's pretty great.
It's amazing how much Norfolk st has appeared in my NY trajectory. My first summer here in 1981, I stayed in a free room in an apartment that some friends of mine from Minnesota had. this was on Norfolk and Stanton.
When I came back to NYC for good in 1983 I stayed with another friend on Norfolk and Rivington.
My currant studio is on Norfolk between Stanton and Rivington.....
